Troubleshooting

Here you’ll find solutions to the most common issues.

Telephony & Calls

Possible causes:
  • Wrong call times: Test different times of day (recommended: Tue–Thu, 9–12 AM and 2–5 PM)
  • Unknown number: Leads are less likely to pick up unknown numbers – consider Verified Caller ID with your own number
  • Lead quality: Check that the numbers are current and correctly formatted
Make sure the number is in E.164 format (e.g. +14155551234). No spaces, dashes, or brackets.
Check the transcript in the call history. Common causes:
  • Silence is interpreted as end of conversation → Adjust the setting under Options → Silence Detection
  • Voicemail is recognized as a conversation → Enable voicemail detection

Prompt & Agent Behavior

Explicitly add to the prompt how Frank should respond to those questions. The more specific the prompt, the better the behavior.
  • Choose a different voice under Agent → Voice
  • Write the prompt using more natural language
  • Enable Backchannel (short affirmations like “Yes”, “I see”) in settings
Define the goal more clearly in the prompt and add explicit instructions for what Frank should do in specific situations.

Lead Upload

Check the following:
  • Phone numbers in E.164 format (e.g. +14155551234)
  • Required column present: phone_number
  • File saved as UTF-8
  • Maximum file size not exceeded
Invalid numbers are flagged during upload. Filter them out and correct the format. ChatGPT can help you automatically convert a spreadsheet to the correct format.

Cal.com & Appointment Booking

  • Check the Cal.com connection under Agent → Call-to-Action
  • Make sure the correct Event Type is selected
  • Check that your Cal.com account is active and availability is set correctly
Confirmation emails are sent by Cal.com. Check the email settings directly in Cal.com.
