Prompt Guide

The prompt is the heart of your agent. It determines how Frank speaks, what questions he asks, and how he handles objections. A great prompt is the difference between an average and an excellent agent.

Using the AI Prompt Builder

SalesFrank includes a built-in AI Prompt Builder to help you get started.
1

Open Agent

In your campaign, go to Agent → Create with AI.
2

Answer questions

Answer the builder’s questions about your company, target audience, and conversation goal.
3

Review the prompt

The builder creates an initial prompt (~80% complete). Review it and adjust the details manually.
4

Test it

Use Talk to Assistant to test the agent directly before launching the campaign.

Structure of an Effective Prompt

A good prompt follows this structure:
Who is Frank in this conversation? Name, company, position.
You are Frank, a sales representative at [Company]. You are calling
potential customers who might be interested in [product/service].
What should be achieved by the end of the call?
Your goal is to schedule a 20-minute demo appointment.
If the lead has no interest, note the reason politely
and say goodbye.
Define the flow: Greeting → Needs assessment → Pitch → Objection handling → Close.
List the most common objections and appropriate responses.
If the lead says "I don't have time":
→ "I completely understand. It'll only take 2 minutes –
may I quickly explain what this is about?"

If the lead says "Not interested":
→ "May I ask what the main reason is? That helps us
   improve our offering."
Should Frank use formal or informal address? Casual or professional? Brief or detailed?

Common Mistakes

Too vague: “Be friendly and sell the product” gives Frank too little direction. The more specific the prompt, the better the results.
No conversation goal: Without a clear goal, Frank doesn’t know when a conversation was successful.
Missing objection handling: Without preparation for typical objections, Frank responds unstructured.
