Core Principle: Go Step by Step

AI systems are complex and rarely deliver perfect results from the very first moment. SalesFrank is no exception. Always proceed in three phases:

Phase 1: Test Campaign

Before calling real leads, test the agent intensively yourself.

Set up the agent completely

Configure the campaign, agent, schedule, and options in full.

Call the agent yourself

Use the Talk to Assistant feature in the dashboard to test the agent in your browser. Conduct many test conversations – including with difficult objections, unexpected answers, and edge cases.

Identify issues

Look for moments where the agent hesitates, responds poorly, or deviates from the desired conversation flow.

Improve the prompt and configuration

Adjust the prompt, opening message, or other settings and test again. Repeat this step until you are satisfied with the agent’s behavior.

Phase 2: Limited Live Test

Launch the campaign with a small subset of your lead list first.

Choose a small group

If you have 1,000 leads, start with just 100. This lets you gather real conversation data without using up the entire list.

Review results

After the first calls, check the Analytics tab to see what worked and where improvements are needed. Listen to individual calls (if recordings are enabled) or read the transcripts.

Make incremental improvements

Adjust the prompt, objection handling, or schedule and run another limited test.

Phase 3: Full Campaign

Only once you are satisfied with the results of the limited test should you gradually expand the campaign to the full lead list.

Prompt quality is everything

The prompt is the heart of your agent. Invest the most time here. The more concretely and specifically you describe what the AI should do, the better the conversations will be. Use the AI Prompt Builder and answer all questions in detail. Use the microphone to speak freely and naturally – this produces better results than short, bullet-point inputs.

Choose calling windows wisely

Match the calling windows to your target audience:
  • B2B audiences: Weekdays between 9am and 5pm
  • B2C audiences: Evenings between 5pm and 7pm, when people are home from work

Enable voicemail detection

Enable voicemail detection and set up a meaningful voicemail message. This way, even calls where the lead doesn’t pick up can still have an effect.

Use AI data extraction

Define variables for Frank to automatically extract after each call (e.g., email address, budget indication, interest in specific products). This saves you manual effort in post-processing.
